The ANHD Inc. Reader
The ANHD Inc Reader, an online publication, published bi-weekly, serves as an essential resource for news, policy analysis, and resources for New York City’s affordable housing community. The ANHD Inc Reader is published by ANHD INC, a not-for-profit social welfare organization that advocates on behalf of New York City community-based non-profit housing organizations and the neighborhoods they serve. It is distributed via email to approximately 1,500 individuals, community-based organizations, not-for-profit and for-profit housing developers, businesses, foundations, government agencies and elected officials. Leveraging Tax Abatements
This report details how New York
City can achieve permanent affordability by using tax incentives to
maximize the return on investment in both new construction and
substantial rehabilitation projects. The report focuses on three City
construction programs, Low-Income Affordable Marketplace Program (LAMP),
New Housing Opportunities (New-HOP) deal, and 9% Tax Credits, which are
responsible for the vast majority of city-subsidized affordable housing. The report
challenges City Housing officials to build housing that is sustainable for the
next generation of New Yorkers and is a follow-up to ANHD's 2008

Permanent Affordability: A National Conversation
